Jamie Gregory

Jamie Gregory is the founder and president of Line Honors Strategy Group LLC.  He is a Government Affairs professional with over thirty years of lobbying experience at the federal and state levels; in addition, Jamie has significant experience with issue advocacy and electoral campaigns.

Line Honors Strategy Group LLC works with clients on Capitol Hill and the State of Maryland with a focus on real estate, housing, insurance, and energy issues.  Jamie Gregory also currently serves as President of the Community Tax Coalition which is a national 501(c)4 organization that provides research and advocacy materials on the negative consequences of real estate transfer taxes and assists with advocacy efforts in communities nationwide.

Prior to founding Line Honors Strategy Group, Jamie spent five years as the Lead Principal for Federal Issues at the law firm of Calfee, Halter and Griswold LLC.  While at Calfee, Jamie led efforts to successfully protect historic preservation easements in the SECURE Act, secure federal Appropriations funding for an Army Corps of Engineers flood control project and Transportation funding for major highway reconstruction projects for a large local jurisdiction, and an update and modernization of Maryland’s Captive REIT code.

A significant portion of Jamie’s career was spent serving as Vice President and Deputy Chief Lobbyist for the National Association of Realtors (NAR), where he was responsible for managing Congressional Affairs, Grassroots, Issue Advocacy, Independent Expenditure and Government Affairs Communications staff.  During his tenure he led advocacy efforts protecting real estate interests in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, developing individual insurance markets in the Affordable Care Act, passing a real estate licensee exclusion from CFPB oversight in the Dodd/Frank Wall Street Reform Act, gaining support for the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit, preventing nationally chartered banks from entering the real estate brokerage business, and including real estate transactions in electronic signature legislation.

Earlier, Jamie was the head of government affairs for the Maryland Association of Realtors and served as senior staff for then Prince Georges County Executive Parris Glendening and former Congressman Tom McMillen.

Jamie has a B.A. in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland College Park.  Professional certifications include the Realtor Association Certified Executive by NAR, the Public Policy Certification by the National Institute of Lobbying & Ethics, and the Professional Lobbying Certificate by the Association of Government Relations Professionals.
